When you’re an Emergency Medicine resident, you’ll care for patients in the Emergency and Trauma Centers at our Kent and Sussex Campuses and the Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center at Nemours Children’s Hospital. Our 52-week year is split into 13 4-week blocks.

PGY-1

  • Orthopedic Surgery (4 weeks)
  • Anesthesiology (4 weeks)

PGY-2

  • Emergency Medicine (24 weeks)
  • Medical ICU (8 weeks)
  • Pediatric ED (4 weeks)
  • Obstetrics (4 weeks)
  • Trauma (4 weeks)
  • EMS (4 weeks)
  • Elective (4 weeks)
    • Sports Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, EMS, Burn Unit, EMS Tactical

PGY-3
